Janet K. Dexter
Janet has been a professional dog trainer since 1997. She has trained a Golden Retriever, Boston Terrier and two Miniature Poodles in obedience, rally and agility. She was among the group to take the first ever APDT Certification Exam for dog trainers, thus earning her the CPDT (Certified Pet Dog Trainer) title. Janet has worked as a professional dog groomer and veterinary hospital receptionist. She worked as a groomer for the U.S. Three-Day Eventing Equestrian Team riders and managed a 200-horse stable.
She is currently competing with Miniature Poodle Eliot (Ch. Rembrandt Eliot Ness, OA, OAJ, CGC, TDI, AAD, AS, AJ, EJC, OAC, TG-O, TN-O, WV-N) in agility in three different venues and is training Miniature Poodle Luca TDI, CGC (Rembrandt Key To Glory) in Agility and Rally. Lily (Kennedy's Libby Ain't Misbehavin, CD, NA, OAJ, CGC), her Boston Terrier, is retired from competition and Therapy Dog visitations.
