Louise Hinckley
Louise, a co-owner of Four Paws Academy, has been training dogs since 1995. She holds a professional Membership in the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and is the former owner of Hinckley's Hound Hikers Dog Walking and Pet-Sitting service. She enjoys training, teaching and competing in agility and obedience and specializes in behavior modification techniques pertaining to dog to dog aggression and owner to dog relationship building.
Louise's 13-year old Lab/Husky cross Tasha CGC, AAD, OAC, OJC, O-NGC, RS-O, JS-O, GS-N retired from Agility Competiton in July 2006. At that time she was competing in USDAA Performance III and NADAC Veteran Elite levels. Tasha qualified for the USDAA DAM(Dog Agility Masters) Team championships in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003.
Louise currently competes in agility with her 8-year-old Australian Cattle Dog Jackaroo (Koala Redhot Jumpin Jackaroo CGC, AAD, AX, AXJ, NAC, NGC). Jackaroo is competing at the Masters Level in USDAA and Excellent Level in AKC. He qualified in USDAA DAM(Dog Agility Masters) Team championships and Grand Prix in 2008. Louise is currently training her 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog puppy Kindle (Wooleston Light My Fire). Kindle is preparing to compete in agility, obedience and herding.
Louise lives with her husband Scott and his dogs, Retired Norwegian Buhund Tyler AD who is 11 and 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog, Beta (Bryn Mawr's All Rev'd Up AD, AS, AJ, OA, OAJ).
